Project Brief: The plight of marginal farmers is well known, with many relying on rainfed agriculture and often falling into debt. Mantarlee aims to create a farmer training and support facility to enhance economic wellbeing. By developing functional models on a 2 to 3-acre live farm, farmers will learn and replicate practices to improve income, yield, and water conservation. The models will be tailored to local conditions for greater adaptability.
Key Objectives:
- Establish a farmer training and support center to enhance income, yield, and water conservation.
- Support a minimum of 100 farmers to improve their livelihoods.
- Raise awareness among at least 500 farmers about various tools and techniques to enhance income.
Qualitative Impact:
- A unique training facility that can significantly improve farmers’ livelihoods.
- Awareness on best practices to promote environmental sustainability.
Deliverables/Outcomes:
- Ready-to-use training infrastructure with models.
- Training for 500 farmers and community members on environmental sustainability.
- Support for 100 farmers to improve their income.

Vidya Vriksha – Promoting Environmental Sustainability

Project Brief: Bangalore, once known for its greenery, now faces severe environmental degradation. Mantarlee’s Vidya Vriksha project aims to counter this by implementing tree plantation, supporting farmers, and creating nature gardens in schools. The project also includes establishing a Miyawaki forest to improve rainfall and water tables.
Key Objectives:
- Plant 2,000 trees and maintain them for a year.
- Support 10 farmers to improve their livelihoods.
- Create Vidya Vriksha – nature gardens in 3 schools.
- Establish 1 Miyawaki forest.
Qualitative Impact:
- Contributing to improved rainfall and water tables.

Project Brief: To address challenges in student employability, Mantarlee proposes the establishment of an applied innovations lab. This lab will provide exposure to Robotics, 3D Printing, IoT, and Data Science, along with an AI-based Learning Management System. The goal is to make students job-ready with hands-on experience and innovation skills.

- Foster a culture of innovation among faculty and students.
